In 2019, building on a history of successful collaboration, FCIT became a joint program operated by the College of Education and Innovative Education. The College of Education, Innovative Education, and FCIT share many goals in relation to student success, pipelines into degree programs, and technology integration within the field of education. FCIT offers over 100,000 pieces of free digital content for non-commercial classroom use by students and teachers.

This year marks my sixth year at St. Joe and my tenth year of combined teaching experience. I started my teaching career overseas in Germany. In 2004 I received the German-American Fulbright Award, granting me the unique opportunity to live in Germany and teach English in a German Gymnasium – similar to our American high. Baba is also a pioneer in the genre of “lit-hop” or literary hip-hop, known for his adaptations of The Canterbury Tales, Beowulf, and Gilgamesh. He is a recent recipient of the National Center for Science Education’s “Friend of Darwin Award” for his efforts to improve the public understanding of evolutionary biology.

iTeach Professional Learning courses are designed for educators and administrators at all levels. Each iTeach Professional Learning or FTCE Prep course is interactive and engaging, delivered completely online, and facilitated by an expert in the field.
